With major revisionary woirk currently being done within gender and sexuality studies, here are new perspectives which are becoming more and more important in biblical studies. Here is a book specifically on jesus gender and sexuality in all of the Canonical Gospels. Four good length chapters each concentrates on a single theme. This will make a majore new contribution to queering of the Gospel traditions, one that is oinformed by current gender studies as well as placed within the context of first century Roman colonisation of Palestine as well as the strictly Jewish background to the New Testament.
The argument is indeed provocative but it is substantiated at every stage by reference to copntemporary literature ond other sources.
