To be published just in time for the anticipated canonization of Newman in Fall 2019
Newman's Meditations and Devotions was first published in 1893, three years after his death. The great nineteenth century priest, writer, convert, and cardinal had long wanted to compose a book of devotions that might be used on a calendar basis, but that project never materialized during his lifetime. After his death, his literary executor, Fr. William Neville, compiled the meditations and devotions here, all of which were part of Newman's daily spiritual practice.
This beautiful new edition includes Newman's meditations on the Stations of the Cross, long and short versions, plus original illustrations drawn specifically for this volume.
