In 1962, a restless and aimless young man had a brush with God and recognized that God had called him to the ministry. He followed that call even when it looked like he had crawled out on a limb and sawed it off. This led to a very unique and special ministry which he could have never imagined. His ministry impacted thousands of lives in over sixty years of serving the Lord. Don Whetstine has worn many hats in his long service in the Kingdom of God, which include Pastor, Evangelist, Church Planter, Counselor, Elder, Sheriff's Department Chaplain and Deputy, Author, Musician, Singer, Songwriter, Worship Leader, Mentor, Consultant, and Encourager to all he meets. Don and his wife Jenny Sue have two adult children, two grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. They live on their homestead, dubbed The Beanblossom Hobby Farm, in the hills and forests of Brown County, Indiana. Jenny Sue leads a Silver Sneakers exercise class at the Brown County YMCA and Don is one of her assistants. They also sing and play music on the streets of Nashville, IN as Street Musicians, where their goal is to share their faith in Christ and make people smile.
