We make many quick choices on the spot with little time for reflection. It becomes more confusing as traditional common values are being canceled without any replacement, and rapidly advancing technology disrupts personal life and work culture, and deception is found everywhere causing people to lose trust in people, systems, and the church. This situation confuses our decisions and practices, because our actions follow our decisions. The only way for us to make on-the-spot decisions with more confidence and godliness is to anchor ourselves to more solid Scriptural beliefs with more intense self-discipline to practice these beliefs. This book may serve as a textbook for people who want to strengthen their Christian beliefs, but may be more useful to those desiring to strengthen their Christian practices as it not only presents a list of Christian beliefs but puts equal weight on both biblical beliefs and Christian practices. His great grandmother was one of the earliest Korean Protestant Christians. Since her conversion her line has produced six pastors including Dr. Kim. He holds BS (Seoul National Univ) and MS (Univ of Tennessee), both in engineering. He worked full time as a senior engineer while pursuing PhD in engineering when he sensed the call from the Lord. He earned MDiv (Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary) and D.Min (Fuller Theological Seminary). Ordained in 1984 he served as pastor in North Carolina, California and Virginia. Now retired, he teaches, preaches and writes as the Spirit leads.
