Early covenant with the Lord required the blood of an unspotted lamb to be sacrificed by the priests anointed to do so. This blood was dashed on the altar in its place of worship as the required substance to atone for the sins of God's people. These ceremonies were prophetic demonstrations of something similar to come in the future. That future appeared at the birth of Jesus, the only Son of God. We celebrate His coming each year in the season of Christmas. One of the manifestations of His life and ministry to mankind is the additional moniker of being the Lamb of God. He was born to submit His life as that Lamb. He fulfills the ritual in the Old Testament in a "new" way. His submission and obedience to the Old Testament requirement of sacrificial blood give power to New Testament Spiritual life. This is necessary for our personal harmony with God. This life is attained by believers accepting Jesus as the New Testament sacrificial lamb fulfilling the need to satisfy atonement for believers. The Old Testament bloodletting of sacrificial lambs required the priest to cast the substance upon the temple altar. This fulfilled an opportunity for "believers" to accept the process as their atonement for personal deeds committed against the will of God's Word. The New Testament process of atonement requires the Blood of the Lamb of God to be spiritually cast upon the hearts of humans who will accept his sacrifice. Humans who accept this are now known as the sheep of God! The Blood of the Lamb empowers the Old Testament prophecy and a New Testament outlining the power and authority of Christ is released. The Old Testament sacrificial lambs never rose from their physical death. Because YAHshua died under the power and guidance of Holy Spirit, He was able to rise from the dead. This released all His power and authority as the only risen from the dead Lamb of God. Covenant with God calls for human submission which will enhance personal obedience. This empowers man's path to eternity and is protected by your voluntary decision. Covenant requires your dedicated personal time to understand and grow in its offerings. Hopefully, this book will enhance your opportunity to grow in covenant's opportunity through the Grace and admonition of our Lord. Have your Bible nearby as you read this book.
