When the first volume of Scripture Sevens was published in 2005, it was intended to be a stand-alone book of weekly meditations for those who love the Lord Jesus, the Saviour of sinners. For that reason, it was simply entitled Scripture Sevens. In the goodness of God, the book was well received and, with an abundance of subjects still there to be covered, a second volume was published in 2007. Unsurprisingly, it was titled Scripture Sevens Volume 2. The years have passed, and copies of those original volumes are keenly prized by Christians around the world. The suggestion that a third volume should be published was greeted by some with surprise: are there really that many 'sevens' in the Bible? There are indeed, and more besides, and 52 more of them form the meditations in Scripture Sevens Volume 3. Of the 52 authors whose studies are here, some have written for all three volumes. For many of them, however, this is their first. Based in ten different countries, the writers have their own background and style, but all are acknowledged as godly men who are able to teach the Scriptures. The Word of God is inexhaustible in its riches, and more of its precious gems have been mined for your spiritual blessing by the authors whose work is presented in Scripture Sevens Volume 3.
