Luigi Pareyson opposes philosophical solutions that negate the reality of evil. Pareyson finds a new way of thinking, on the one hand, in the elaboration of an ontology of freedom and, on the other hand, in a hermeneutics of myth and religious experience. His access to myth can be an important contribution to bringing the postmodern need for a new myth into focus.
