In the field of Textual criticism of the Bible, synopses are a useful tool to study ancient texts not only by themselves, but also in comparison with each other. In a synopsis, correspondences and similarities, but also differences between individual readings become visible. This synopsis contains six texts of the Book of Esther placed side by side in columns: the Masoretic Text, the Old Greek, the Alpha Text, the Old Latin, the Vulgate and Josephus' Jewish Antiquities. A technical introduction explains the choice of texts and their editions.
