Sea of Symphony is a nearly direct sequel to Kaetlen Mundy's first book Wings and Dreams and Realities. Unlike her last one, a lighter and more whimsical experience to be sure, this collection touches upon grimmer aspects of the human psyche and soul. Where there were only glimpses of the dark before, now we find only a sliver of light, making this book a perfect counter piece to its predecessor. Sea of Symphony is a moving collection of poems and short stories exploring the moments in life in which we must search for light in the darkness. There is faith in times of doubt. There is comfort in change. And there is forgiveness in the most unforgivable acts. Though this is the second book ever published by Ms. Mundy, it is the first book she has written as a working-class adult in her country. Its imperfections are clear, but it holds a hope that may be very well needed in today's time. It is naïve, yet thoughtful, spiritually grounding, and very creative in its delivery.
