Joseph Becerra would often get stuck when reading the book of Revelation. Having only a certain amount of time to devote to it any given moment, he'd hit that limit and feel as though he hadn't fully understood its message. Whether he gave himself a day, a week, or two months, he'd still walk away feeling as though he was missing something. Eventually, instead of giving himself time parameters, he focused on parameters of understanding. The new approach led to the.title of this book - Seek to Understand Revelation. One of the keys to completing the book is stated in the book of James: "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him" (James 1:5 ESV). He observes that the book of Revelation concludes with a warning: If anyone adds to the prophecy of the book, God will add to that person the plagues described in the book. If anyone takes away from the words of the prophecy of the book of Revelation, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city.
