The recent Juneteenth celebration is a reminder that, even after being freed by law, enslavers in Texas and elsewhere refused to comply, leading to years of further captivity. The Fourth of July is also a holiday for reflection, as freedom for all began with removing the freedom for many. This week in LinC we’ll talk about acknowledging our past as we work to heal our future.
