Through the stories of Abraham and Sarah, the children will learn what it means to be a blessing in someone's life. They will learn the importance of keeping promises, like God did in the birth of Isaac, how to make decisions peacably, as did Abraham and Lot, and how to follow God's leading in their own lives. The Mission activity for the unit is to make Health Kits, and links are included for the United Methodist Committee on Relief, the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, The Disciples of Christ, the Cumberland Presbyterian church, the Episcopal Church, the Presbyterian Church (USA), and the United Church of Christ.
