I was born to Alfred and Lena Mandel on July 1, 1928. My parents owned a Stoney Creek Cheese Factory that we lived above. I grew up in the country 3 1/2 miles from the small town of Loyal, Wisconsin. I went to a one room country school with 36 others, grades 1-8. My mother and older sister both worked in the factory, while I cared for four siblings younger than me. We were brought up in a loving home; bible studies every week. We were taught to love one another, love God, respect our elders, being kind to one another. We all worked hard and long. My oldest sister and I have had a double wedding. We moved to Marshfield, Wisconsin area when marred, and lived there. I had a family of twelve children, nine sons in a row, then three daughters. In 1959 we built out new home and moved four mile west of Marshfield. The last six of my children were born there. The bible studies continued weekly. My children grew up knowing and loving God. My love for God has been brought out in my poems. God is our rock of salvation; our hope, our strength in every time of need. We only need to go to Him in prayer. I was widowed in January 1983, with three young children still at home. I started writing poems and songs; the first poem published in 1985 with my picture and biography. My second poem is an all religious book of poems. In 1983 I became a domestic engineer providing rhyme time. The Lord told me to write the Bible as a poem, making it easier to read and remember. My second book is being published soon. Our Father God is gracious. Abiding in Jesus, Ruth Mandel Kuehmichel
