The Gospel of John: Study Guide uses a thematic approach to studying the Gospel, appealing to seasoned lovers of God's Word and those picking it up for the first time. This Study Guide has been used by individuals and groups. Each Lesson begins with questions regarding the event at hand, includes enriching excerpts from scripture scholars and speaks to the heart with personal applications that run throughout. Color-coding opens the eyes to truths that were always there and questions act as a gentle guide to ponder these truths in new light. Brief reflections for each Lesson, given at the back of the Study Guide, apply the Gospel to the spiritual life and often pull together the meaning of a miracle, parable or Feast and its teaching. The eagle has long been used in sacred art to symbolize the Gospel of John. The eagle on the cover was drawn by request with the intent to capture the soaring mysticism and the penetrating eye of this beloved gospel.
