Ruth found favor with Boaz when her first priority was her relationship with God and serving her mother-in-law. Esther found favor with the King when her first priority was her relationship with God and serving Mordechai. Neither woman saw themselves as someone God would choose to affect the entire nation of Israel. But God worked providentially in each woman's life.
